The focus is on understanding factors within the school’s control that influence wellbeing. With wellbeing as the underpinning element in the delivery of the Australian curriculum, this understanding is central to AIS’s approach in providing targeted support to continue to enhance the wellbeing within their community.
Emphasis on Wellbeing highlighted by KHDA Inspections
Dubai’s governing educational body, Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) identifies wellbeing as a key pillar in its inspection framework. This emphasis signifies the growing recognition of wellbeing’s role in education, a stance embraced by AIS Dubai.

- Quarterly wellbeing checks: AIS conducts checks on a quarterly basis, utilising Skodel’s platform to gain timely insights into the wellbeing of its community.
- Action plan development: Collaborating with Skodel, AIS develops and maintains action plans to address the specific needs identified through the wellbeing data.
- Inspection reporting for KHDA: With Skodel’s support, AIS creates detailed wellbeing reports for KHDA inspections, showcasing their commitment to prioritising wellbeing.

AIS’s transition to shorter surveys was a strategic move aimed at improving engagement and data quality. This decision was based on the understanding that shorter surveys lead to higher completion rates and more actionable insights, with minimal disruption to daily routines.
